Film Club Insider - Part 5

"UFC MEET & GREET"

The hostels of AMU are filling up after a long time, and the campus is flowing with life and laughter. Thus, on the 13th of May, 2022, the University Film Club (UFC) held a ‘Meet-and-Greet’ for the newly-arrived members of the club to attend their first meeting.  

The meeting began at 4pm with an introductory session in the Cultural Education Centre (CEC), where all members, old and new, acquainted themselves with one another. Few even managed to show off some talent by acting out dialogues and scenes. Lots of laughter and much more fun!

Once everyone had introduced themselves, the party moved outside to the lawns of CEC where a video shoot was planned. The theme: “Cinema for Change”! Be on a lookout on the official UFC pages for the upload!

For some, this was the first time in front of a camera lens, but everyone worked hard throughout the shoot. No one could’ve thought that nearly half of the members were meeting for the first time, as the teamwork was flawless. Coming up with lines, choosing the locations, picking out props or a certain attitude to deliver their words in, no member was lackadaisical and gave it their all! 

By sunset everything was wrapped up, and everyone left with curiosity for the next meet.
