Internship Workshop Day 2: Photowalk

Over the weekend, the University Film Club (UFC) had some interesting sessions for its members as well as the FILMSAAZ interns, with various activities and games!

An exhilarating weekend at University Film Club, AMU

On the 26th of February, the UFC’s Alvina Rais Khan and Tayyab Ahmed organised a very exciting ‘Photowalk’ session across the AMU campus. Some specific spots included the heritage of AMU, such as the Strachey Hall, Victoria Gate, Union Hall, and the Cultural Education Centre Complex.

The students boarded buses and headed on to the first destination: Strachey Hall! Filled with riddles and games, the photography-centric interns shot many videos across the hall and the writers wrote proses in reference to the beauty of the Strachey Hall.

Then, we moved on to the Victoria Gate where the interns shot various videos and learnt about the presence of AMU buildings in Indian cinema. The participants who quickly solved the riddles were rewarded with chocolates!

Next, the caravan moved on to the Student’s Union Hall, where more video shoots and photoshoots happened. The students created various group videos and after a round of refreshments, everyone headed back to the club room at CEC. This certainly was a great opportunity for the members and interns to explore their campus as well as apply their cinematic skills to good use.

Moreover, on the 25th of February, there was an intensive content video shoot where all participants came up with ideas on producing thrilling promotional videos for the UFC social media pages. The members were divided into separate teams, such as those involved in the shooting and recording, those creating the written content, as well as the directors.

Overall, it was a time filled with enjoyment for all!
