‘Chak De! India’ Movie Screening

November 13th, 2022, Kennedy Auditorium, AMU

On the 13th of November, 2022, the AMU University Film Club (UFC) organised a screening of the exceptional movie ‘Chak De! India’ by Shimit Amin and Aditya Chopra. It features a group of athletes overcoming tough sexism by strengthening their team dynamics. 

The screening event was held at the Kennedy Auditorium, CEC Complex at 3pm and the hall was occupied by student fans of the well-loved Shah Rukh Khan. This film is mainly themed in sports, patriotism, and woman empowerment. The movie screening was a part of the larger event by the UFC, which included the ‘AMU Through Your Lens Reel-Making Contest’. This was an online video-making contest on how students of AMU view their institution. The final prize winners were facilitated by the UFC Club In-Charge Ahmad Mudassir, where the prize of the second runner-up was shared by Saima Amin and Anas Zulfiqar, the first runner-up was Zainab Shamsi, and the winner of the contest was Hamza Khan. 

The entire team of UFC; especially members Mohd Farhan, Alvina Rais Khan, Danish Sohail, Mahvish Fatima, Madihah Danish, Sheeza Shoeb, Faizah Zaidi, Akbar Siddiqui, Tayyab Ahmed, and Faraz Ahmad Khan, handled and managed the event with ease, and were led by the Club In-Charge, Ahmad Mudassir. The audience was fired up throughout the movie and the day ended on a bright note with smiles all around.
